My good friend and neighbor has decided to take up bike riding again and has been pestering me for weeks to get a bike and join her on her early morning excursions along the boardwalk. The last I knew of bikes was that they were much too complicated for me, and I didn’t want to always have to think about changing gears. That took the enjoyment completely out of the ride. Last night Terri brought over a video of cool fixies, and I must admit, bike riding did look like a lot more fun again. I think I will have to consider this a bit more. Maybe I will take her bike for a ride to see how it feels. They say you never forget how to ride a bicycle once you have learned.
