Genetic explanations are being found for a number of different conditions that occur in humans. As more genetic testing is done and the tests become more sensitive so much more is being explained. A newly study that is being published in a British Surgery Journal did genetic testing in 70 people with ulcers of the foot in patients having diabetes found out that the Ag genotype was related to the severity of the foot ulcer and if they need an amputation if the ulcer would not heal and is also associated with how long theyneed to stay in the hospital. A promising area of research is the Genetics and diabetic foot ulcers.
