I think the good thing about the e-books is that they don’t take up shelf space. The cost of an e-book is lower than a hard cover book as well.
If I download a Danielle Steel novel to my laptop I can read it in about five hours because I can set the sentences very wide. The beauty advice of the Kindle is that you can adjust both the font and the width of the sentences as wide as you like.
The main issue I think is that with e-books you can store 1500 titles on the Kindle. That makes for a world of convenience and space saving.
I do think that there will always be a time and place for a hard cover, conventionally bound book. They are still fun to hold in your hands and read. But, if you want to read a number of titles the space saving is wonderful. Further, both Amazon and Barnes and Noble will give you the first chapter of any e-book for free. So, you can start reading a book to see how you like it. If you do, then you can buy the rest of the book, and it is transmitted to your laptop, PC, or Kindle within seconds!
