I always assumed that portable storage units were the big “Pods” or dumpster looking containers that you sometimes see outside people’s homes but a friend tells me that they come in many different sizes. I was thinking of using one to store some important documents and items in my home while I’m away, sort of like a giant safe. Is it true that these containers come in sizes that would fit inside my home? How difficult would it be to get them down a set of stairs into the basement? Or would it be cheaper in the long run to store them another way?
