You would need to form a training team to prepare your restaurant staff for opening day. Although some recruits may have come from other restaurants and are subsequently well-trained, you’d still need to guide them to comply with your own set of rules. A training team may comprise of you, the owner and your partners or professional consultants. You’re going to need to implement some procedures and have a solid set of guidelines. Have these in black and white and distributed among the employees as a manual. You can also conduct seminars for them or let them attend conferences to enhance their cooking, bar tending and communication skills. Have these established before you open a restaurant and then cross your fingers for a successful opening!
