In my cultures class at school, we have been studying Japanese culture and art. Our term project is to create our own artwork depicting some part of Japanese culture. I decided to do a writing for which I would need Japanese calligraphy supplies. I asked my professor if she had any that I could borrow. She said that she could do even better than that. She gave me the name of a senior student who had lived and studied in Japan for two years. When I met Sam, I was amazed at how well we hit it off. I also appreciated the use of the supplies for my project and some important tips to make my work more authentic-looking.
