When I was growing up, the space around my house was all farm fields.  It was a great place to be a kid and explore the open land.  I moved away in college and never really came back, but when I had a family of my own, I wanted my girls to see where I was raised, so we went back.  I was shocked to see all sorts of businesses that had gone up.  There was a Wendy’s, a Sherman Oaks Chiropractor, a bowling alley, and all sorts of other shops.  I was sad at first, but I saw the delight on my girls faces and got over it quickly.
